My name is Muctarr Jallow and I am the founder of Jolof Events Limited, one of the leading event-planning companies in The Gambia.
I have been very passionate about event planning from a very young age. I used to (and still now) help friends and family members organize their events and most of my extracurricular activities at school were centered around events.
In 2018, while at university, I created an event-planning business called City Events. It started from my parent's garage with a D5,000 ($100) loan from my brother. The company is currently worth millions of dalasis with 10 full-time staff; and has covered more than 1000 events since its inception.
